Definition of Value-
Element of design that defines the lights and dark's in an artwork Definition of Composition- Is the placement or arrangement of visual elements or ingredients in a work of art, as distinct from the subject of a work For me the most helpful warm up was the Upside Down Picasso. Having to draw upside down helped me to focus more on what I saw instead of what I know. Instead of drawing a chair, I was just drawing curved lines. It made drawing the picture a lot easier than if it were to be right side up. I never finished the drawing but in my opinion what I drew was on the right track.
The artist I chose was Taiichiro Yoshida. They were born in Tokyo, Japan in 1989. They have had many exhibitions both solo and group. They work has also been in many art fairs. Mostly all of their work is made using wrought metal. They have won many awards such as the Harada Prize in 2013 and the Ataka Prize in 2012. All of their work is impeccable and very impressive. Taiichiro Yoshidas Website- http://yoshidataiichiro.com/works/index.html Taiichiro Yoshidas art is so beautiful and inspiring. I have never seen anything quite like it. The way that they are able to take the wrought metal, make it into flowers and then arrange those flowers to look like animal is amazing. When I first saw this I was immediately intrigued. At first it was the bright red that caught my eye but once I really looked at the artwork, the beautiful flowers and butterflies became my favorite part. Yoshida is an amazing artist and I can't wait to see what other artwork they will create.
